Local geometry customization
A special XML format has been developed to make some tests with customized versions of experiment setups.
There is local_geometry.xml file in the directory, which can be used as an example of a local customization of a geometry stored in the database.
The root element of the XML format is "setup". It supports two types of child nodes:
- editSetupModule to load an own version of the specified detector or just disable the specified detector. It support the following attributes:
- tag: tag of SetupModule which will be customized
- enable: false - disable the SetupModule, true - change to a local version (from file_path) of the detector (default is true)
- file_path: path to a new geometry file (default is empty, i.e. using the database geometry file
- moveX: integer value, which sets a shift in X direction of the module (default is 0)
- moveY: integer value, which sets a shift in Y direction of the module (default is 0)
- moveZ: integer value, which sets a hift in Z direction of the module (default is 0)
- addSetupModule to add a new detector to the current setup. It support the following attributes:
- class_name: name of the detector class. e.g. BmnFD, FairMagnet
- active: true - the detector has active geometry. false - passive geometry (default is true).
- args: arguments required for the constructor of the class. e.g. "FD", "MAGNET"
- file_path: required path to the detector geometry file
