unigen_format Directory Reference

Description

UniGen format

Classes of the UniGen (Universal Generator) data format, derived from the UniGen project of GSI. The format is used to store the output of different event generators in a common ROOT tree; such files are read by MpdUnigenGenerator.

Classes

Class	Description
URun	Run information: generator and decayer, projectile and target (A, Z, momentum per nucleon), impact parameter and event plane ranges, cross section, number of events
UEvent	Event: event number, impact parameter, event plane angle, time step and the list of particles
UParticle	Particle: index, PDG code, status, parent and decay indices, four-momentum (GeV), space-time position (fm), weight

Library

Built into the UniGenFormat library; the ROOT dictionary is defined in UniGenLinkDef.h.
